Copilot Studio Course: Build AI Agents course thumbnail

Introduction

What is Microsoft Copilot Studio?

Microsoft Copilot Studio is Microsoft's platform for building AI agents on your own knowledge and your own systems. In August 2026 Copilot Studio got a new engine (the GitHub Copilot harness), which is the default for every new agent: You steer the agent with instructions, skills, and workflows instead of topics, it can use connectors, MCP servers, and workflows as tools, and you measure it with built-in evals before publishing to Teams, Microsoft 365 Copilot, or the web. The course is built for the new experience.

Why should you learn Copilot Studio?

With the new Copilot Studio you can build agents that do more than answer questions: They create tickets, send messages, and run processes with a human in the loop, without a development project. The course gives you the whole build cycle in one day: Build, test, measure, fix, and publish. It is a concrete skill for Power Platform people, IT, consultants, and AI leads who need to deliver agents that work in practice, and who know what they cost in credits.

About the course

Details and modules

  • Lessons

The course is built as nine lessons, each with its own case:

    • Introduction and the new engine: What a harness is, the four tabs Build, Preview, Evaluate, and Monitor, and what you need to know about credits, environments, and governance before you build.
    • Your first agent: Create an agent from scratch with instructions, model, and knowledge, add a skill, test and fix in Preview, and publish to Teams.
    • Knowledge: Give the agent several kinds of sources, such as files, SharePoint or OneDrive, and structured data. Describe the sources well, test source by source, and keep the agent on track.
    • Skills: Control how the agent solves specific tasks. Generate skills with AI, write them yourself from the course template, and upload packaged skills that can be versioned and shared.
    • Workflows: Build standalone workflows with triggers, classification, conditions, AI nodes, and human review, where you decide the order.
    • Tools: Let the agent act in real systems with connectors, MCP servers, and workflows as tools, and write skills that use several tools in sequence.
    • Connected agents: Split the work between specialised agents and build a parent that routes by description, with different models per agent.
    • Evaluate and Monitor: Build test sets, run evals, compare models on numbers, and read usage and consumption after publish.
    • Publishing: Publish to Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot, control who can see the agent, and know the admin approval flow and the other channels.

Changes: New features are continuously added to Copilot Studio. When appropriate, we incorporate these in the course to ensure coverage of the newest functionalities. Thus, the above topics may change accordingly.

  • Learning outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

    • Build agents in the new Copilot Studio: Create, configure, and publish agents with instructions, model, and knowledge.
    • Work with knowledge: Connect and describe several kinds of sources and test that the agent answers from them.
    • Write skills: Control how the agent solves tasks with skills you generate, write, and reuse.
    • Build workflows: Make deterministic flows with triggers, conditions, and human review.
    • Add tools: Use connectors, MCP servers, and workflows so the agent acts in your systems.
    • Connect agents: Build specialised agents and a parent that routes between them.
    • Measure and monitor: Run evals, compare models, and read consumption in credits.
    • Publish with governance in mind: Publish to Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot and know the admin approval flow.
  • Target audience

The course is for you if you need to build agents in Copilot Studio: Power Platform developers, IT and digitalisation people, consultants, and AI leads. You do not need to code, but you need to want to build things yourself.

  • Prerequisites

No coding required, and you do not need prior experience with Copilot Studio. On the day you need access to Copilot Studio in your own tenant with an environment you are allowed to build in, and Copilot Credits assigned. You get a preparation guide before the course. Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 is an advantage.

  • Duration and location

The training lasts a full day (7 hours) on a date and at a location we agree on together. The course can be held on-site or online, whichever suits you best.

Online, we draw on our extensive experience from the YouTube channel and deliver an engaging, interactive learning environment.

On-site, we are happy to travel where needed. Transport and accommodation are added by individual agreement.

  • Equipment and licenses

The training is carried out on the participants' own computers. Access to Microsoft Copilot Studio in your own tenant with Copilot Credits is required (see prerequisites).

  • Format

The course combines live teaching with flexible e-learning content. That combination suits different learning styles and schedules.

Expect a practical and interactive learning environment both live and in the e-learning. You work with concrete examples, take part in problem-solving, and get guidance from our instructors.

  • E-learning

Participants get access to our always-updated practical e-learning on the I Love Automation platform, which can be used before, during, and after the training.

  • Number of participants

For the most engaging and practical experience, we recommend up to about 15 participants per course. That ensures everyone has room to engage, ask questions, and get the support they need from the instructor.

  • Continue your learning online

The learning does not stop when the course ends. You can strengthen your development with our continuously updated online courses and active communities, designed to turn new knowledge into concrete work.

  • Terms and conditions

Our services follow clear business terms built on mutual trust and simple transactions. Note that all services require prepayment and are non-refundable. Read our terms and conditions for details.

  • Price and booking

The price is fixed regardless of the number of participants, which makes the course ideal for teams that want comprehensive training at a good price.
